The walls are for hanging posters |

Thumbtacks are for hanging/hooking them |
| Le sol, c’est pour marcher |
The floor is for walking |
| La fenêtre, c’est pour laisser entrer la lumière |
The window is for letting the light in |
| Et aussi pour rêver |
And also for dreaming |

The cabinets are for organizing things |

The light lights up the room |
| Les chaises servent à s’assoir |
The chairs are for sitting |
| Les tables et le bureau servent à travailler |
The tables and the desk are there for working |
| Et parfois à dormir |
And sometimes for sleeping |

| Le téléphone, pour téléphoner |
The telephone is for making phone calls |
| L’ordinateur ou le cahier, c’est pour pendre note |
The computer or the workbooks are for note-taking |

Or for drawing |

| Le livre sert à lire et apprendre |
The book is for reading and learning |
| On peut mettre tous les livres en ordre sur l’étagère |
We can put all the books in order on the shelves |
